Thank you for accompanying me to Law's party.  I needed the support.
I think he took my annoucement as good news which was quite a relief.
I did most of the talking which is not usually how our conversations
go.  I told him about a lot, but mostly recent events.  He did manage
to say he didn't think he'd like me very much at Rawley Academy.  He
was probably right.  I told him what happened with Gwen then about
the conversation I had with you.  I had yet to tell him the reason I
was talking to him, but he listened patiently until I said "then I 
said, 'his name is Lawrence,'" it caught him a little off guard.  
That's when he said, "say that again?  Did you just say that you're...
in love...with me?"  I nodded, but I couldn't look at him.  I didn't
want to see a look of rejection, but then he got up and walked out.
The ultimate rejection, right?  Fortunately, he came back with some
champagne.  Then we talked for quite awhile which is probably why I
was so quiet during the car ride home.  Anyway, thank you again.
