I don't know whether to freak out or write him back and say yes.
I read it when I got back Wednesday night, but how do you respond 
casually to something like that?  Before you write back and point 
out the obvious, I know he was just being sweet and kidding around.
We had an amazing time this weekend.  Seeing HIM and the city to-
gether was total perfection.  And, since I know even though you like 
to pretend you're as pure as the freshly driven snow you're mind went
straight to the gutter about the staying up all night thing.  The
first night I was home I slept in my bed and Scout slept in the 
guest room where he's been staying.  The next night, after spending
the day together in the city (it was so fun), he said that the last
night by the lake was really nice.  Very suggestive.  So, I said that
it WAS nice.  TOO nice.  Sleeping with him like that felt TOO perfect
and it isn't something I want to NEED, you know?  So, he said what if
we DON'T sleep.  And I guess I looked pretty surprised because he said
quickly that he meant what if we stay up all night together.  So I 
let him sneak into my room and climb into bed with me.  I told him that
he was not allowed to go to sleep so he better start talking.  And, he
did.  And, we stayed up all night talking about anything and everything.
Eventually I fell asleep or maybe it was him first.  Anyway, we didn't
get up until like four on Sunday.  Of course, Lucy found out he slept 
in there and told me that breaks dad's rules.  I think she thinks we
had sex which I hope she doesn't tell Dad.  I'm hoping to reach him 
before her so I can tell him what really happened (if you happen to 
see him, tell him to call me, ok?).  Anyway, Scout had to work on Monday
and Tuesday so I enjoyed being home alone and did a few things I needed
to get done in the city (orthodontist check up went well).  Wednesday
was filled with fireworks (not just the kind in the sky).  And I went
back to R.A. wishing I could stay in the city all summer.  I know you
didn't ask for the play by play, but I felt like sharing.  Now, it's 
your turn.  What's going on with you?
