I didn't mean to sound like the jealous, caveman boyfriend.  I'm
sorry if I came across like that.  I've just been thinking about
Ryder and what happened.  Please don't let this completely disprove
what I first said, but what if I offered you an alternate interpre-
tation of what happened between you and Ryder before he left?  It 
goes like this: Ryder decides he is "in love with someone."  What if
this someone is named Jake?  So, he goes to Gwen to tell her every-
thing.  When she tries to kiss him, it does freak him out and he 
cannot possibly tell her now.  So, he lies and says the "someone"
is a girl back in England.  I mean, Jake, you're a girl in England
right now.  Then, he needs to talk to you too.  Maybe he wants to 
tell you how he feels, but he has to know how we feel about each
other.  I mean, I'm thinking (being the trusting boyfriend that I
am) that if he came onto you, you would never go for it.  Well, he
knows that too.  So, being the evil genius that he is, he comes up
with another plan.  Tell you he's gay.  Then he gets everything he
wants from you: sympathy, comfort, hugs, KISSES.  He knows he could
never hope for anything more than that.  It's the perfect diabolical
plan, Jake.  Think about it.  He never did tell Gwen.  He wants
you to keep it quiet.  What if that is all because it is not true?
