New Episode
Hope it is enjoyable. Unfortunately, it is a transition epiosde for the Jake/Ham storyline so not a lot gets resolved. But, as always, let me know what you think!

Pre-requisite knowledge: I teach algebra at a high school.
A lot of the time when I think I’ve been too busy to write, it’s really that I’ve just been busy doing other hobby type stuff, but these past few weeks, I’ve just genuinely been busy. The new school year has started and I finally got my own classroom (I’ve been a traveling teacher which is no fun). The downside is someone else is in my room during my planning period so I can’t use my computer, which I typically use extensively in my plans so I’ve had to stay late to do what should have been done during my planning period. Plus, I’ve been working on a website and wiki for my students and they are slowly beginning to use it. But. It requires tons of upkeep like posting up HW assignments and uploading my notes files every day. So, yeah, it’s been a crazy, busy start.
That said, I do have one episode almost in the can to be released on schedule on August 30, and I have a pretty good idea of where I am going after that. I think I’m somewhat procrastinating outlining it because of some tricky logistics that have to be worked out for the Jake/Hamilton storyline. I’ve also been put off slightly at writing the next episode because of comments people made over at FF about only reading the Jake/Ham parts. I mean, I know it’s the most interesting storyline, but, at least lately, I don’t see the other storylines and Jake/Ham filler. I think if they were plots on an actual, watchable show, they would come across quite nicely. I mean, I’m glad people like the Jake and Hamilton parts, but I put time and effort into the rest, too. So now I’m thinking about the episode as a whole and find myself very put off by the idea of writing pages and pages that people don’t want to read. Even if people read it, but only because they feel that they have to…well, that’s not good either. So, yeah, I’m somewhat unmotivated.
I also started working on an original series for my algebra students which mixes math with teen drama. We’ll see how it turns out. I’m creating a “series bible” for it. My biggest problem with creating original characters is making people care about them so we’ll see how I do. Oh, and at this point, I’m definitely working on a “Jake Pratt meets Hannah Montana” storyline in the form of a character named Casey Parker. We’ll see how I do with that. I’m kind of going for something that could air on ABC Family. Drama without profanity or sex. You can certainly check out what I have so far…

It’s not much and I haven’t worked on it in awhile, but I am excited by the prospect of creating something myself.
I re-read this episode yesterday in a final attempt to catch any grammar errors, and, I must say, I really enjoyed reading it. Hopefully everyone else will at least like it a little.
I’m also working on the next episode, but I don’t think I’ll be done by next week so I’ll probably hold out until the end of August. Maybe by then I’ll have two good episodes and I can also put one out on the anniversary of Harmony and I starting New Beginnings. I can’t believe it’s been so long ago!
It took Jake and Ham eight years to…oh, man, I’m saying too much…
So I had outlined the next episode and have been working from it, but one of my storylines has completely changed from what I thought would happen. I don’t really know what happened. I think the dialogue I started writing just took things in a slightly different direction. The storyline in question is the Will-Alyssa-Tyson thing. The basic outcomes are working out the same, but the path is not the one I originally drafted up in my head. Here’s to hoping this idea is better!
Woohoo. Posted up the newest episode. I like how this one turned out. Hopefully everyone else will also

I’m posting up the new episode (Memory) tonight at midnight. I think people will enjoy how everything works out over the course of the 3 episodes. I hope, anyway. Ahh!
So I have now officially completed the 3 episodes needed for July 12, 19 and 26. They still have to be beta-ed and jazzed up, but the writing part is done. I’m amazed with how quickly I was able to write them. I think actually making outlines really helped me. Shocking, I know! When I get home from summer school today (teaching it, not taking it…oh, and it’s nothing like summer session at Rawley), I’m going to see if I can outline the next episode because once that happens, every time I sit down at my computer, I am able to write and write and write. Hooray for outlines!
If I want to make it clear that two characters are having sex…how much do I need to show? I mean, they may or may not talk about it later so it’s imperative that you know. Do you need to see glimpses of the act itself? Do you just need to see them in bed after? Or…does it all depend on who it is? Haha. Seriously, though, what do you think?
Okay, I’ve just come up with what I believe is a brilliant idea. 3 new episodes in July to honor the first three original YA air dates. The dates and episodes are as follows:
July 12: Memory
July 19: The Best Thing in the World
July 26: Movie Night
The time for a new episode is almost upon us. Actually, I have one in the can and am almost done with the next one. I am planning on implementing a new strategy with episode release so that I always have one on deck. This is a personal motivation strategy more than anything, as I really enjoy releasing episodes. I’m also debuting a new format with the new episode, so that should be exciting. Anyway, off to write. Oh, and all you Jahammers out there…we’re getting there
